Verified Volunteers
We are thrilled to announce our newest partnership with Verified Volunteers! Nonprofits will benefit greatly from the efficient screening processes and tools the Verified Volunteers program can provide, thus allowing their volunteer managers and coordinators to focus on empowering volunteers and making our community better.
Using Verified Volunteers’ online platform, volunteers and volunteer managers at any nonprofit in Southern Colorado can quickly and easily obtain a single, standardized background check for civic service accepted by multiple nonprofit organizations, schools, youth sports teams and faith-based groups.
Current background screening options are costly and time-consuming for both nonprofits and their volunteers. Since as many as half of all volunteers choose to serve with more than one organization, the cost and time commitment involved with repeat screenings can be an obstacle for nonprofits and their volunteers. Using a standardized volunteer service credential that satisfies screening requirements and is recognized by multiple organizations will translate into lower costs and a greater number of qualified, readily available and dedicated volunteers in Southern Colorado.

Some service organizations believe that volunteer screening is too costly, time-consuming and inconvenient. Where do you stand when it comes to screening your volunteers? Our partner, Verified Volunteers, developed a whitepaper outlining some of the common reasons you might not be screening your volunteers…and why you might reconsider. Check out the whitepaper, To Screen or Not to Screen.
